What is one new thing you learned about Korea or Japan today?
오늘 저는 한국과 일본의 아이들이 같은 스포츠를 많이 한다는 것을 배웠고, 언어가 달라도 함께 놀면서 서로를 이해할 수 있다는 것을 알게 되었어요- Kai Kim (Tokyo Korean School)

Do you think learning about different cultures helps people understand each other better? Why?
はい、ちがうぶんかについて まなぶことは、みんなが おたがいを もっと よく しるために だいじだと おもいます。
ひとに よって、たべるものや きるふく、いわう ぎょうじが ちがいます。そういう ちがいは へんじゃなくて、たのしくて おもしろいです。Mutsumi Makii（Sakura International School）

Did today’s event change the way you think about Korea, Japan, or their cultures? How?
Korean kid’s perspective:
응, 오늘 행사로 일본에 대해 생각이 좀 바뀌었어. 일본 사람들은 되게 착하고 예의 바른 것 같았어. 서로 도와주고 규칙도 잘 지켜서 멋있었어. 일본은 진짜 재밌고 더 알고 싶어.
Translation: Yes, today’s event changed how I think about Japan. I learned that people in Japan are very nice and polite. They enjoy helping one another and following rules. I think Japan is really interesting, and it is fun to learn about it.
Japanese kids’ perspective:
そう、きょうの イベントで かんこくの いめーじが ちょっと かわったよ。かんこくの ひとは すごく フレンドリーで たのしいなって おもった。
Translation: Yes, today’s event changed how I think about Korea. I learned that Korean people are very friendly and fun. They like being together and sharing things.

Did you feel included and comfortable during the event? What helped you feel that way?
응, 나도 포함된 느낌이 들고 편했어. Kai 먼저 친절하게 말 걸어 줬어. 같이 게임도 하고 웃어서 부끄럽지 않았어. 다들 나를 환영해 주는 느낌이었어.
I didn't really know many people when i came but i was able to make friends like Kai and i had alot of fun. I think that making new friends made me feel included-
そう、わたしも すごく たのしくて あんしんできたよ。みんな やさしく はなしかけてくれて、いっしょに あそんだから きんちょうしなかった。なかまに いれてもらえた かんじが して、うれしかった。
Yeah, I also had a lot of fun and felt comfortable. Everyone talked to me kindly, and because we played together, I didn’t feel nervous. It felt like I was included, and that made me happy.
